In this message we are focusing on Genesis 2:1-3. God gave mankind a unique commission in Genesis 1:28, not only to be fruitful and multiply to subdue and have dominion authority over the rest of creation on God's behalf, bearing His image. God sets a pattern on how He intends this to be accomplished in Genesis 2:1-3. Adam and Eve's first full day in the garden was not one of labor but of worship and rest. What is introduced in Genesis becomes a pattern later in Exodus 16, codified as command in the Ten Commandments, misunderstood by the religious leaders of Jesus' time, and said by Jesus to be a gift given to us by God.
